Our Lady is the perfect model for us as religious. We look to her as an image of total dedication to the Will of the Father, of complete detachment from all else but Him, of a consuming virginal love for the God Who chose her for Himself.

Like Our Lady, we are set apart as consecrated religious to belong totally to Christ, to bear Him in our hearts, bringing Him to all we meet, and giving birth to Him through lives of virtue. We are called to imitate her maternal solicitude for the Church and all her sons and daughters that she recieved at the foot of the Cross.She is the perfect image of true womanhood, the new Eve standing at the side of the new Adam, Our Lord Jesus Christ. She is the Spouse and Mother par excellence who embodies the feminine virtues in her tender, maternal Heart and her profound humility and submissiveness to God's Eternal Plan for her. Our Lady is the model for us of intercession before Our Lord, never ceasing to beg graces and bestow them on souls.
